Whittles has been part of the wider Colchester community for nearly 30 years.  As a significant North Essex business we believe we have a responsibility to encourage and support charitable, arts, sporting and community projects aimed at benefitting the lives of the people who work and live in the community we are happy to share.

Some recent community projects in which we have recently been involved:

Annual nominated charity

Every financial year we nominate a local charity to benefit from and to provide a focus for, our fundraising activity throughout the year.

Since June 2018, we have been supporting St Helena, which helps local people in North East Essex with an incurable illness to live well and die with dignity and choice.

The 2016/17 charity was The Essex Air Ambulance.

The 2015/6 charity was the Cirdan Sailing Trust.

The 2013/5 charity was The Ark Centre, Harwich.

Autism Anglia

The 2012/13 charity was Autism Anglia.
